  The 80's was my era...and heavy metal was my music. I really miss the days when rock ruled MTV (does Headbangers Ball ring a bell?). I despise this hip hop generation we're stuck in now. BLAH!

  ok that was sad. i was on a role until i got down to anthrax, iron maiden, yngwie malmsteen, and judas priest...sad thing is...i listen to them all. i can't believe i didn't know that. oh well, gotta keep learning. GREAT QUIZ. i'm gonna send it to friends!

  I have every record ever recorded by Iron Maiden, they never made a song titled 'Life After Death' or had a Record named 'Life after Death'. The Alblum to which you refer is named 'Live after Death' because it is a live alblum mostly recorded at Long Beach Arena, although some were recorded in Hammersmith, and Helsenke.

  Use Your Illusion I has a lot more songs with swear words than Use Your Illusion II. UYI2 only has 'Get in the Ring' and 'Shotgun Blues' while UYI1 has 'Perfect Crime' 'Back Off Bi--h' 'Double Talkin' Jive' 'Coma' and both 'Right Next Door to Hell' and 'Dust N' Bones' say f--k.

  Syd Wasnt There For this Album(Atom Heart Mother)He Left after The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn only to return for one or two tracks on Floyds second Album Saucerful Of Secrets. He wasnt there for the third album.

  The answer to Q10 is INCORRECT. The questions states ''Empty Spaces' begins with a secret message recorded backwards, what is NOT said'. Your answer of 'Congratulations, You have just discovered the secret message' is incorrect, as this IS said. The only thing out of the choices which is not said at the beginning of Empty Spaces is indeed 'You are ordered to proceed and going to convene outside Brixton Town Hall where we're going to be… WAITING…to cut out the deadwood'.

  Sorry, but on 10th answer the right option is c:'you are ordered to proceed....', the only one Not Said in the song.In the record, if you play it backwards, you can hear the D option first, then B and finally A. I found it on a book of PF songs. Bye.

  You made a mistake in #10. What is NOT said is "You are ordered to proceed and going to convene outside Brixton Town Hall where we're going to be… WAITING…to cut out the deadwood." The answer in the quiz, "Congratulations, You have just discovered the secret message," IS said in the secret message, and in fact starts it.

  This quiz should be 100% by everyone who is gonna take time to do it. the only one I had trouble on was how many live albums they came out with cause im not to much of a fan of live albums because they don't give the true music just the screaming fans. but i guessed and got that one right. hint: think of how many albums they came out with

  Your answer to question 3 is wrong. Joel Whitburn's 'Top Pop Singles, 1955-2002,' says that Andy Gibb's 'I Just Want To Be Your Everything' was in the Hot 100 for 31 weeks (2003 edition, p.278), while Three Dog Night's 'Joy To The World' spent 17 weeks in the Hot 100 (id., p.711). But actually, neither song spent the most time in the charts during the 1970's. The song of greatest longevity in that decade was 'I Go Crazy' by Paul Davis, with 40 weeks in the Hot 100 in 1977 and 1978 (id., pp. 177, 977). Questions 6 and 7 are ambiguous: what you probably meant was, which of these songs spent x weeks at Number One during the 1970's? 'You Light Up My Life' was #1 for 10 weeks in 1977 (id., p.72); 'My Sweet Lord' was #1 for 4 weeks in 1970 (id., p.303). You may want to reword both of these questions so that it's clear that the answer involves weeks at Number 1, rather than simply 'in the charts.'

  There is some ambiguity here--Three Dog Night stayed at #1 for six weeks with 'Joy to the World,' but Ansdy Gibb stayed on the Hot 100 and top 40 longer. You have to clarify 'weeks on charts' vs. 'weeks at number 1.'

  Just for information. Donny only sings backup on 'Crazy Horses' (#9). That is an Osmonds song. Don't mean to sound angry but I really hate it when Donny gets credit for the work of the brothers.   Yes 'Something' is a Harrison song, but that is what Frank said was one of the best love songs written by Lennon?McCartney...I think he just assumed that every song was a Lennon/McCartney song... Looks like he never watched The Odd Couple..lol.

  ahoward, You are right George Harrison wrote that song, the question was what did 'Frank Sinatra' say was one of the best love songs written by Lennon/McCartney, not who wrote 'Something'. Thats why it is on the quiz, because I think its funny that he called 'Something' a Lennon/McCartney song. Sorry if I was not clear in the question.

  YOUR BOTH RIGHT,I am so sorry my book is wrong I looked it up on 4 other places to make sure it is Jimmy Page NOT Robert Plant on question #10. As for Fogerty he died in September of 1990 from TB. He may have ad Aids but TB is the offical listed cause of death. Shelia E's name at birth is spelt the way I have it in every place I have checked maybe she or her family changed it but that is what I have found it as, My spelling is very very bad on all these quizes sorry for that, I have not been able to sleep and have been doing that in the early moring hours I will try to catch as many as I can.

  I put 5o as the answer and the correct answer was said to be 2500. Well, isnt 2500 over 50. In fact i could have put one on that and the answer would have been correct. Considering the answer IS in fact more than one. so i do believe my answer is correct since 2500 IS over 50. Basically the question is a 'more than' question. any number under the actual number would be correct.
